Braxton's 2nd Birthday

Braxton turned two on August 21.  I can't believe it has already been two years.

The birthday boy about to open his presents.  He has the best expressions.

Brad's family was out of town on his birthday so we had a family party on the 27th with both our families.
This is the cake that I made, I think that it turned out pretty well for my first cake.  I used an old Batman/Superman cake pan that my mom had.

He was in a bad mood and refused to take a picture with the cake, so this is the best we got.

Uncle Davis decorated under the stairs for Braxton.

More Presents.  He was spoiled by both sets of Grandparents and Aunt Danica.

Singing Braxton's favorite song "Happy Birthday".

Blowing out candles his favorite part.

Ryder's Ultrasound

We had our first ultrasound on July 29 and it's a boy!

Braxton watching the ultrasound at home.  He kept saying again again.

Virginia City

My mom wanted to do something fun before school started so we meet my sister and her family and spent the morning in Virginia City.

This is What We Did Today

We went to the park and had a picnic.  Braxton played with a puppy, they loved each other.

He had fun walking around with Dad.

And what is a trip to the park without swinging on the swings or sliding down the slide?

We also got to show off the new backpack I made for Braxton yesterday.  I think this is my first sewing project that I have done without any help.

I even did the dinosaur complete with googly eyes.  I used the this pattern for the backpack from Indietutes.

The park got kind of crowded after school so we went home and drew with sidewalk chalk.

Braxton played with the chalk long enough for his pants to look like this.  The front was a lot worse but I couldn't get a good picture of it.
He decided that the gate was much more fun.

Here is Brad's finished chalk drawing/masterpiece, he is so talented.

The chalk came with 3D glasses.  We didn't think that they would work but actually did.  I tried to take of picture through them but it didn't work very well.

Brad's Graduation

For Brad's graduation we went here

(Golden Gate Bridge.  This was the view from building the graduation was held in.)

They put all the graduates names up on the screen like the credits in a movie. If you look closely you can see Brad's name towards the bottom of the middle.

No graduation would be complete without a ninja battle.  They also had someone dressed up as a Na'vi from Avatar but I did not get a picture of him.

The Animation Mentor mascot Spike.  Don't ask me what he is, I don't know.

The founders of Animation Mentor.

We sat a couple of rows behind Brad.

The diploma and meeting the founders .  The three of them took turns announcing names, holding the stack of diplomas, and handing out the diplomas.

Family Pictures

A couple of weeks ago my sister-in-law Cammi took our family pictures for us and then I fixed them up a little in Photoshop.

Thanks a lot Cammi, I love how they turned out!  Go check out her photo blog.

Christmas Wreath

I saw this wreath over at Nanny Goat and I decided to make one of my own.  It was really easy to make, time consuming and a little frustrating, but easy.  I am pretty happy with the results.

Thanksgiving

I made Braxton a turkey shirt out of his hands for Thanksgiving, I think it turned out pretty cute. I got the idea from Treasures for Tots.

Of course it doesn't hurt to have a cute model.

We spent Thanksgiving in Carson at Brad's Uncle's house.

Braxton loved this bar, he was actually hanging on by himself until we got the camera out.

Turkey overload.
