Christmas Wreath

I saw this wreath over at Nanny Goat and I decided to make one of my own.  It was really easy to make, time consuming and a little frustrating, but easy.  I am pretty happy with the results.

Thanksgiving

I made Braxton a turkey shirt out of his hands for Thanksgiving, I think it turned out pretty cute. I got the idea from Treasures for Tots.

Of course it doesn't hurt to have a cute model.

We spent Thanksgiving in Carson at Brad's Uncle's house.

Braxton loved this bar, he was actually hanging on by himself until we got the camera out.

Turkey overload.

Braxton

So this is what Braxton has been up to

He thinks that food makes the best hair gel.

He has recently found out how to take his shirt off.

He is always getting into mischief.

A Day at the Park

So I was just messing around with this digital scrapbook and I thought that I would share it you.

I really like the idea of digital scrapbooking it is super fast and easy!  I think that  I could get a whole book down this way in the same time it would take me to do these two pages with traditional scrapbooking.

One Trillion Dollars

I just read this lady's blog http://lynnaelovesliberty.blogspot.com she explains how much one trillion dollars is

"We often hear about Obama and Congress spending money in the trillions, sometimes it’s just hard to get a grasp on how much one trillion dollars is.

My husband was involved in a similar discussion and a friend cleared it up with the following analogy.

A man gave his wife a million dollars and told her to spend $1000 a day. She came back 3 years later to say the money was gone.
He then gave her a Trillion dollars and told her to spend a million dollars a day. She didn't come back for 3000 years."

Coveting

Lately  I have found myself coveting something that  I want really bad.  It's a sewing machine.  I think that  I almost have Brad talked into getting it for me for my birthday, actually  I think I've been driving him crazy about it, showing him sewing machines on the internet every chance I get :o) I have wanted a sewing machine for a long time now, but I don't know where the sudden urge came from that I just have to have one, it's driving me crazy.  Here is the one that  I have been looking at.

It's a Kenmore, computerized, has 110 stitch functions, comes with 6 feet, and a 25 year warranty.  I found it at Sears but it was out of our price range, but then I looked at there outlet store and it is over $100 cheaper there, and they have an outlet in Sparks.

The BEST Chocolate Cake

So I found a recipe for this chocolate cake and it looked really good so I decided  to make it.  Honestly the first time I had it I was kind of disappointed, it was really dry.  Then, after the cake being in an airtight container all night, I had another bite this and it is much better the frosting moistened it up a lot.

I recommended this cake to anyone who loves chocolate.  For the recipe go to http://www.kevinandamanda.com/recipes/dessert/the-best-chocolate-cake.html instead of chocolate chips she suggested using chopped up peanut butter cups in the batter, adding 1/2 cup of peanut butter to the frosting, and putting some opptional peanut butter cups on the outside for decoration.  Enjoy

Sunday Snooze

This Sunday we were eating lunch, I looked over at Braxton and this is what I saw...

I thought he would be pretty tired because he did not have a nap at church but I wanted him to eat with us.  And he has NEVER done this before so I didn't expect it.  I had to sweep all the food out of his mouth with my finger before we put him in his crib.
